The congregation first formed in 1923  under the name of Auckland Christian Spiritualist Church. Over the years the location evolved, however strength and community never wavered. The name MacKelvie is in honour of the first premises owned by the congregation which was located on the corner of Rose and MacKelvie St, known to be the go to  place to train and develop mediums and healers the with community fondly referring to it as MacKelvice St Church, image of the old church to the right.

My involvement started in October 1978, holding a variety of positions on committee from Treasures in the 1980's to being President in 2005. My passion is to ensure the continued stability and development of the church, providing a haven to all wanting to embrace their spiritual side. We continue to be a of beacon light and maintain our heritage as a key centre focused on helping grow and develop quality mediums and healers, bringing together people from all over New Zealand and the world.

From the moment you enter our location in Portage Rd New Lynn, you can't help but be uplifted by the vibration. The sense of being welcomed and at home is a reflection of the tapestry of energy of members past and present.

You are welcome to join every Sunday from 7pm. The  evening includes singing, an opportunity to receive healing from Church certified healers, uplifting readings and addresses along with spiritual communication via mediums.

Following the service you are welcome to join us for a warm drink and supper.
